Challenge

Mixed reality (MR) technologies have the potential to revolutionize the way people interact with each other and with their surroundings. Unfortunately, traditional MR environments require users to wear bulky headgear to enable immersive experiences.

Solution

ArchiFiction’s n’Space product is a projector-based virtual reality platform that delivers mixed reality experiences without requiring users to don a headset or other wearable device. Intel RealSense Depth Camera D455 contributes to a stunning audio-visual experience.

Results

n’Space has brought naked-eye mixed reality solutions to many industries, including educational research, industrial manufacturing, and commercial entertainment. By superimposing digital data like images, videos, and 3D models onto the physical environment, its unique solutions improve how people perceive and interact with their surroundings.

n’Space system

A pioneer in the mixed reality arena

ArchiFiction has revolutionized the expansive mixed reality market with a “naked-eye” 3D spatial system that delivers a stunning audio-visual experience without requiring people to cover their faces with electronics. The n’Space system achieves this social and spatial breakthrough via the integration of specialized hardware components, software applications, and AI algorithms.

A sophisticated machine vision system

ArchiFiction designed a sophisticated machine vision system to serve multiple markets. This includes architectural modeling, industrial simulation, and metaverse-based cultural tourism. This technology uses a human skeletal model and spatial human posture recognition algorithm ensuring precise user positioning within the virtual space.

Advanced Sensor Integration

The Intel RealSense technology integrates five sets of visible-light and infrared point cloud sensors. These sensors provide complete coverage and accurate user tracking. Strategically placed, they accurately locate both the human body and eye positions.

Seamless interaction and immersion

n'Space goes beyond traditional MR solutions with its dynamic tracking and posture recognition features. It also offers location triggering, voice interaction, and peripheral control. The system captures the viewer's movements in real-time, allowing the 3D environment to react instantly.

Selecting Intel RealSense D455

ArchiFiction chose Intel RealSense D455 for its frame rate, resolution, and field of view, as well as its compact size and low power consumption. The camera's capabilities have significantly improved the accuracy of positioning and posture recognition, resulting in a seamless and immersive virtual experience.
